EECO is partnering with Byrd Polar to offer a series of listening sessions on Climate Hope. The Education and Outreach Director at Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center at the Ohio State University, Jason Cervenec, will give us an overview of the science of climate change. We will also have a couple of educators (Joe Brehm and Claire Monk), who will be discussing how to use science to educate students on climate change. We realize that this topic can cause anxiety in students of all ages, which makes it all the more important to listen to the experts, the educators and the students. We will work to find common ground and digestible ways of presenting the information to students. We want to empower students of all ages and create an action plan that we can share far and wide.
Join us on Tuesday, February 22 at 6pm for the first of the Climate Hope Listening Sessions. A zoom link will be sent to all registrants before the listening session.
